Janette was such a wonderful prayer warrior for God. She spent so many hours praying for so many important ministries and those she held close to her heart. It was so wonderful to sit and hear her stories and share what God was doing. Her spark for life was contagious and she poured so much into the ministry God has, is, and will do here at Camp Hebron. Truly a woman of God with a heart for others.

I have very fond memories of working years ago with Janette at the Mennonite Info Center. I will always remember her as a lady who pleasantly invested her ALL into whatever she did. She was very pratical, thoughtful and efficient as she tackled projects. I appreciated her faithfulness as she & Mel served the Lord in so many ways throughout their lives. She leaves behnd a lwonderful legacy that is a grreat challenge to each of us who knew her.

I had the privilege of working with Janette during my years as pastor at Lititz Mennonite. She was a colleague and a friend, along with Mel. We kept in touch for a while after that. I regret that I won't be able to attend the Memorial Service.

I visited Janette and Mel at Landis Homes a few weeks ago and had the pleasure of seeing that beautiful smile, like the one in the picture in this obit, in person. I was able to reminisce with her as my former Bible Quiz Team coach at Lititz Mennonite Church. Janette poured over the book of John and created study sheets for us, helping us to memorize large portions of this book and to understand some of the history and context in its original setting. She was a great teacher and motivator. My mother said recently that Janette was "the smartest person I ever knew," and few who knew her would disagree.
Now, at the age of 77 myself, I look back on those days long ago with love and appreciation for all those who poured their love for God into the youth of their church. Janette was supreme in this example for me. She has inspired me to want to do the same for others.
Thank you, God, for the luminous example of Janette Wenger in my life.
