Obituary of Catherine O. Haldeman
Catherine O. Haldeman, 91, of Elizabethtown, PA, formerly of Manheim, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday morning, November 30, 2024 at Neffsville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Born in Franklin Twp., Carbon Co., PA, she was the daughter of the late Elmer C. and Olive P. Prutzman Ahner. She was the wife of the late Daniel G. Haldeman for 10 years before his passing in 2014.
Catherine was a member of Grace Community Fellowship of Manheim where she participated in a women's Bible study group. She also attended Chiques Church of the Brethren with her late husband. Catherine loved expressing her love for her Lord with singing, including singing with the former Manheim Area Chorus.
Catherine loved children and provided childcare throughout the years. She was also employed as an assembler by the former Timemeter and Instrument, Inc. in Lancaster for 11 years.
She is survived by two daughters, Judi Ann Ritter and Kathy L., wife of Rickey A. Fry; two granddaughters, Judith M., wife of Gene Anderson, and April Joy McClucas; two great grandchildren, Jordan M. and Janae M. Anderson, all of Elizabethtown; two step grandchildren, Nichole S. and Christopher D. Fry; and four step great grandchildren. She is also survived by three stepdaughters and one stepson and their spouses; along with numerous step grandchildren and step great grandchildren on the Haldeman side. Also surviving are three siblings, Gloria Ann Jones of Audubon Park, NJ, Brian E. Ahner of Lehighton, and Linda O., wife of John Reynolds, of Allentown. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Brenda J. Martz; and two brothers, Lester and Irvin Ahner.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 7, 2024 at 11:30 AM at Grace Community Fellowship, 1483 North Colebrook Road, Manheim, PA. Interment will follow in Chiques Cemetery. The family will receive guests at the church on Saturday morning from 10:30 AM until the time of the service.
