Obituary of Paul H. Kreider

Paul H. Kreider, 89, of Ephrata, PA, formerly of Lititz, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday morning, October 9, 2024 at Wellspan York Hospital. Born in Clay Twp., he was the son of the late Benjamin and Lizzie Huber Kreider. Paul was the husband of Marian E. Wissler Kreider for 66 years on May 31.

Paul was a faithful member of Hammer Creek Mennonite Church where he and Marian served as greeters for many years. In addition, he was also a sound technician and was treasurer for Hammer Creek Mennonite Cemetery for many years.

In his early years, Paul worked as a fabric cutter in various area garment factories. More recently, he was employed for 17 years in the garden department at PaulB Hardware in Lititz before retiring in his mid-80s. He enjoyed being around home, growing vegetables and caring for his farmette.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by four sons, Paul L. Kreider of Lititz, Jeffrey L., husband of Judy L. Bender Kreider, of Manheim, Daryl L., husband of Fay E. Hostetter Kreider, of Lititz, and Dale L. Kreider, husband of Carol A. Mentzer, of Denver, PA; six grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and two siblings, Landis, husband of Arlene Kreider, of Lititz, and Ellen, wife of George Bennett, of Manheim. He was also preceded in death by six siblings, Charles, Wilmer, Ruth, Lloyd, Benjamin, and Earl.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday morning, October 19, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Hammer Creek Mennonite Church, 590 Hammer Creek Road, Lititz, PA. Interment will follow in the adjoining cemetery. There will be no public viewing. The family will receive guests at the church on Saturday morning from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. Please omit flowers.
