Obituary of Brenda E. Flory

Brenda E. Flory, 71, of Manheim, PA, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, unexpectedly and peacefully entered into the Kingdom of Heaven on Thursday morning, January 14, 2021 at her home.  Born in Lebanon, she was the daughter of Dorothy M. “Dot” Miller Teahl of Palmyra and the late John E. Teahl.  Brenda was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Walter Ray “Junior” Flory, Jr., on August 7, 2020.

Brenda possessed a strong Christian faith and was an active member of Mount Wilson Church of the Brethren in Lebanon.  In addition to serving on various committees, she sang in the choir and enjoyed her role as a Sunday school teacher to the preschool children.

Although Brenda held various jobs after her children were older, her children appreciate her dedication to raising and caring for her family.  Although, when grandchildren came along, they became her first priority.  In addition to reading, sewing, and crocheting, she enjoyed being outdoors horseback riding, and camping.  She also enjoyed decorating her home with American Southwest décor.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by six children, Melanie, wife of Quentin Leiberher, of Palmyra, Kyle, husband of Sherry Flory, of Bethel, April, wife of Steve Kreiser, of Palmyra, Vanessa, wife of Steve Kline, of Annville, Tasha, wife of Jon Slothour, of Manheim, and Steve, husband of Heidi Flory, of Hegins; 27 grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and five siblings, Roxanne, wife of Leonard Seibert, of Palmyra, Sandy Teahl of Lebanon, Wendy, wife of Bradley Bordner, of Annville, Wanda, wife of Richard Hohm, of Warren, MI, and John, husband of Doris Teahl, of Annville.
