Ronald R. Snavely, 78, of Manheim, PA, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, December 31, 2020 at his residence.  Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Elam D. and Hilda M. Hallman Snavely.  He was the loving husband of Suzanne M. Bergeron Snavely for 56 years on December 6.

Ron was a man of faith and was an active member of Manheim Grace Church where served as a former trustee, co-founded the AWANA program with Suzanne, and was involved in leading various other ministries for children over the years.  After he graduated from Manheim Central High School in 1960, he enlisted in the United States Air Force and was honorably discharged as Airman 2nd Class.  He retired in 2006 as a sales representative for the former Conestoga Plumbing and Heating in Lancaster after a career of nearly 40 years.

Ron was a life member of the NRA and had a deep interest in the American west.  He enjoyed western reenactments, cowboy shooting competitions, and collecting Old West memorabilia.  His favorite cowboy was Hopalong Cassidy.  Ron never wanted to draw attention to himself, but instead, cultivated a deep love for God, family, and country.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two children, Claudette M. Snavely (Eric R. Gilbert) of Manheim and Troy L. Snavely (Dawn M. Holdridge) of Lititz; a daughter-in-law, Tammy L. Breniser Snavely of Mount Union; seven grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and a sister, Judy A. Musser (Harold Z.) of Elizabethtown.  He was also preceded in death by a son, Keith L.
