What happens if I die away from my hometown?
Friday, August 25, 2023
Although it is seldom that death occurs when traveling for business or pleasure, it occasionally happens. The short answer to the question is, “Call the funeral director of your choice in your hometown.” Depending upon circumstances and arrangements desired, the hometown funeral director will function as a liaison between out-of-town authorities and professionals to return the deceased according to the wishes of the family. Allowing the hometown funeral director to make all the necessary contacts and arrangements will help to simplify the process and minimize the costs incurred by the family.
