Across time and cultures, humans have always looked to customs and practices as a means for coping with death. Let Britain’s response to the death of their beloved Queen Elizabeth II be a reminder that ceremony plays a vital role in saying “farewell” to those we love. Eternal rest grant to Her, O Lord.
